My time as a student at Steller helped me develop the confidence and community spirit to follow the path to the United States Senate. At Steller, individuals mattered, and leadership was expected from everyone. Today, and throughout my career in public service, I have to set my own goals and accept responsibility for meeting them. I can’t afford to be lazy or to wait for others to make decisions for me. Those are skills and values I learned at Steller, and that’s something for which I will always be grateful.
